Is this product suitable for those with lactose intolerance or milk allergy?
Many people find the terms lactose intolerance or milk allergy confusing. While they may share similar symptoms, they are entirely different conditions. Lactose intolerance is a digestive problem, while a milk allergy involves the immune system.
Lactose intolerance occurs in both adults and children who cannot fully digest lactose, a sugar found naturally occurring in cow’s milk. The reason for this is due to a lactase deficiency, which is a natural enzyme made by your intestinal tract that digests lactose. Milk allergies are a true food allergy which causes severe reactions to particular foods triggered by your immune system. You and your child can be tested for milk allergies or lactose intolerances.
